Do You Know Where You Will Spend Eternity?

Here is what you must know and do

1. Know what the problem is.

That is, we have all broken God’s commandments. Simply stated we have all sinned. There is no perfect person. God tells us: “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23 The problem is that we have sinned against God.

2. Know the consequences of our sin.

God has placed a judgment on those who have sinned. That catches us ALL. The Bible tells us “the wages of sin is death” Romans 6:23 This means we all die physically and unless we get saved, we all die the second death. What is the second death? The Bible says: “And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.” Revelations 20:14,15; “And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.” Revelations 21:8

This means that until we are saved, we are under this condemnation. It is fearful and even hard to believe, but it is true! HELL IS REAL!

3. Know that God wants to save you.

God wants no one to die lost and spend eternity in Hell! Let me share a verse, “God is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance,” 2 Peter 3:9 But remember, God established the punishment for sin and He is the Judge. SO, the only way God can set us free from our sin debt is pay it Himself. This is exactly what Jesus did for us. He paid for OUR sins by suffering OUR punishment on the cross. “But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8 God does love you and He proved it on the cross at Calvary.

4. Know that a Gift has been purchased for you.

As a result of the Cross of Christ, He has paid for our sins and purchased a gift of Eternal life for everyone. “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 6:23

NOTE: This gift cannot be ours until we are willing to...

#1) Admit our sinfulness and confess it to God; This is repentance.

#2) Accept (trust) Jesus Christ as your Saviour and Hope for Heaven.

The Bible tells us that all who realize their need to trust Christ and who call out to Him for His salvation will be saved. “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord, shall be saved.” Romans 10:13

“But as many as received Him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name.” John 1:12 If you want to be saved, bow your head and ask the Lord for His forgiveness and salvation.

Here is a simple prayer you can pray:

Dear Lord Jesus, I confess that I have sinned. I’m asking you to forgive me and to save my soul. This moment, I receive You as my Saviour. Amen

If you prayed that prayer and really meant it in your heart, the Lord has responded by granting His forgiveness and by making you His own child.
